 | | I've been in the medical field 19 years (x-ray tech) and have been told that I'm very good at my pro- fession, but I can't find that level of confidence in myself. I'm always nervous with difficult patients and blush easily when making mistakes. Is this a part of being anxious to please? | | |
 | James: | What you’re describing is very common with people who are anxious to please. It's important to know that this doesn’t happen because of a lack of courage or character. It happens because of a lack of security deep inside. Building that sense of security takes time, but ultimately it can change your whole life. By exploring your fears and subsequent behaviors, you are opening yourself to healing and growth. |
